Minix uses several of the IBM PC function keys to communicate directly with
kernel processes.  The standard function key usage is:

     F1     print process table */
     F2     print memory map */
     F3     hardware vs. software scrolling */
     F4     Re-initialise the ethernet card */
     F5     Dump Amoeba statistics. */
     F8     send SIGINT
     F9     send SIGKILL
